Otitis is a common problem in dogs, but is also increasingly recognised in cats and rabbits. Recurrent infections are associated with progressively severe chronic changes that will eventually need surgery. It is essential to understand the pathogenesis of recurrent and chronic otitis to successfully treat these problems. In dogs, the primary, secondary, predisposing and perpetuating framework is well established but often poorly understood and used in practice. The key to successful management relies on identifying and addressing the triggers in each case.
Recent advances in diagnosis and therapy have helped this. There are also certain specific syndromes that have been better recognised in recent years, which include biofilm-associated infections, cholesteatoma and cystomatosis. This webinar will go through the latest approaches to managing otitis in dogs, cats and rabbits.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
